About this site

This site provides automated calculation tools for PRC labour-law questions, aimed at Chinese-speaking users abroad and cross-border HR teams. It turns publicly available rules into forms and formulas you can check yourself before seeking formal advice.

What we provide

  • Automated calculations under published rules: severance and unlawful-termination compensation, overtime pay, unused annual leave, and double wages for a missing written contract.
  • A first-pass eligibility and jurisdiction check: whether PRC labour law may apply, how the relationship is characterised, and which body usually handles a dispute.
  • Every result shows the formula, the statutory basis and the boundary conditions so that you or a professional can verify it.

What we do not provide

This site does not provide legal advice, does not predict the outcome of any case, does not assess the strength of evidence and does not decide how you should proceed. Results and reports contain automated calculations, formulas, statutory extracts and general caveats only. They are not a lawyer’s opinion and do not create a lawyer-client relationship.

For case-specific advice, consult a qualified lawyer or the competent local labour arbitration commission.

Where the rules come from

Calculations follow current statutes, administrative regulations, ministry rules, judicial interpretations and published conversion rules. The main sources include the Labor Law, the Labor Contract Law and its Implementing Rules, the Paid Annual Leave Regulations and Implementing Measures, the Interim Provisions on Payment of Wages, the Law on Mediation and Arbitration of Labour Disputes, and the Law on the Application of Laws to Foreign-Related Civil Relations.

Locally varying elements, such as the overtime base, the three-times local average wage cap and approvals for special working hours, require you to supply the local figure. We do not guess them.

How we keep it current

When legislation, judicial interpretations or conversion rules change, we update the rules and the version date shown at the foot of each page. Parameter values such as the 21.75 monthly paid days change only where there is a clear legal basis.

If you spot a rule, statutory extract or conversion that no longer matches current law, write to the contact address and we will check and correct it.
